Prince Ralph Osei

Hey Concordians,

Welcome from the summer of 2010, it is a pleasure and a delight to welcome you as President of the Concordia Student Union. I have a BA in Psychology (specialization) with a minor in Political Science, Class of 2010. I am from Ghana in West Africa where I grew up with a large family, so settling down in Concordia has been like an extension. My family lives in Edmonton but I have been calling Montreal home since 2005.

The diversity of our campus and the student body has led us to the theme of this year, Celebrating our diversity. No matter where you come from, where you are going and what you bring to the table, the CSU is here to embrace all. This year comes with its myriad of challenges: primary to us is the issue of the Canadian Federation of Students refusing to accept the democratic will of our student body, of equal importance is the fight against rise in tuition by the Quebec government and finally but not the least is the work to declare our campus bottle water free campus. On these and the other projects and campaigns that my executives and I will be working on, we are soliciting help from everyone. No help is too small and with your help, we can take our student union to yet greater heights.

Lets have a great year of memories that are fun-filled!
